Resident Camp
"Our Home In The Woods"

Camp Fire USA was established with a strong foundation and belief in providing positive outdoor experiences for youth. The Camp Fire USA mission, core values and the belief that children need a connection with the natural world is fundamental to all Camp Fire USA programs.

Camp Adahi offers developmental outdoor activities that lead to positive youth development outcomes, including:

  • Planning and decision making
  • Cultural competence, sensitivity and building extended friendship circles
  • Teamwork and a sense of "fair play"
  • Peaceful conflict resolution
  • Service to the community
  • Constructive use of time
  • Building caring adult relationships

Resident Camp at Camp Adahi is a week-long, overnight program with 2 sessions available July—August.  Open to youth 8 years and up, Resident Camp is an excellent opportunity to increase self-reliance and build confidence.  By combining instruction of basic survival skills and fun, Resident campers eagerly develop a sense of responsibility in caring for their group’s needs.  Youth work together to maintain a common shelter, prepare meals and accomplish group project goals.  The result is lasting friendships made between capable, self-sufficient youth with a knowledge of the basic principles of outdoor survival and a true appreciation for our natural environment.
